After the successful International Coffee Conference held in Nairobi, the world went abuzz with the World of coffee fair in Germany, Berlin ( June 4-6 ) . 2019 fair featured over 300+ exhibitors across three (3) exhibitor Halls, two (2) roaster villages, best new product, design lab and the World Coffee Championships . Connect Coffee was selected to partner with Victoria Ardwino ( nominated espresso machines partner for the world barista championship 2010 -2022 ) playing homage to origin of specialty coffee in Kenya.
As anticipated, Connect Coffee delivered a masterpiece performance and was proud to showcase Kenya’s best coffee from Tegu – Nyeri and Guama – Kirinyaga to more than 7,000 participants from across the globe.
During the fair, Connect Coffee was able to sample coffee from other origins, met potential roasteries and business development partners.
Some of the highlights from the fair included the very competitive world of coffee championship throw down. The competition led to the crowning of some of the elite baristas from different parts of the globe, who included :
- World cup tasters champion: Daniel Horbat : Ireland
- World latte art champion : Manuela Fensore : Italy
- 2019 best new products : Nexus One by Aremde : Espresso machine | Cafflano Go-Brew (Portable Brewing Bottle)
