Photo session: From L-R : Mr. Kimani ( Farmer), Mr. Charles – Barista, Mr. Chris – Director, Mr. Duncan – Marketing Manager, Mrs. Kimani (Farmer), Mr. Japheth – Barista. Location: Gatundu County, Gatwekera village. 03/11/2016

It all started with an interest to attract and maintain loyal customers. Their desire never stopped and they too wanted to be part of the story –The Baristas’ farm visit’.

Determined to withstand the chilly drizzling morning to Kiambu Kenya, our journey led us to Mr. Kimani farm : pioneer farmer ( altitude of around 1830m above sea level).  A journey that was thought over by our icon leader was to become a game changer in the coffee industry in Kenya. Connect coffee involves baristas to understand the seed to cup coffee process  ( coffee seedling establishment, farm management, processing, production to unique extraction techniques).

The lessons learnt at the farm define Connect Coffee baristas better over how they dispense, provide consistent and quality coffee experience to our customers.

In his own words, Japheth – Connect Coffee senior barista “A coffee that is tied to a place, time & a people has a lot of unique attributes “.
